Advance Community Park

Tom Melind on the left and Jerry Parsley on the right are the men that started the dream to have a park in the town of Advance...

May 2005…One day while our Town Marshall Jerry Parsley was directing traffic thru the town of Advance Tom Melind stopped him and asked where our town park was located. Jerry directed him to the play area behind the Advance Fire Department off East Wall St.

A little while later Tom Melind came back and asked seriously, Where is your park?  Jerry replied that is our park! After a long chat on the subject of our park and what Jerry and a few others had long dreamed for this community, They decided to pursue building a new Advance Park, using the “ Park Doctor Book “  along with our guide Tom Melind also the author of the book.
